Desperate situations call for desperate measures. The situation certainly has not reached the desperate stage but Stuart Broad has already started taking desperate measures.
In a bid to make himself match fit for the India series, England fast bowler Stuart Broad has resorted to taking injections. "I've had some injections in my left ankle for an ongoing ligament problem," Broad confirmed.
Broad, who suffered an ankle injury during a County Championship match against Worcestershire, is racing against time to regain full fitness for the five-match Test series against India starting on August 1.
Though scans have not revealed anything alarming but Broad doesn’t want to take a chance. He has been constantly taking painkilling injections for a quicker recovery.
If things go according to plan then England’s second highest wicket-taker could be back in action in the Championship match against Surrey at Trent Bridge that starts on the 22nd.
