With Virat Kohli getting showered with accolades from every nook and corner of the world, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) took to twitter to congratulate the Indian skipper Virat Kohli as he wrote the newest chapter in the history book of ODI cricket during the second ODI against West Indies by smashing the 17-year-old record of Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar. The board took to Twitter, and wrote, “Congratulations! Monumental effort.”

The 29-year-old has now become the fastest batsman in the world to score 10,000 runs in One-Day International cricket.


Apart from PCB, bangladeshi star player Mushfiqur Rahim too praised Kohli on Twitter, he wrote,” Congratulations to one and only sir virat kohli for reaching 10k runs in blink of an eye. Recently, Rahim also became the third Bangladeshi batsman to score 10,000 international runs.

In fact, along with the God of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar, many other cricketing legends showed up on Twitter to shower his love on his disciple and asked him to keep run flow on.














Kohli reached this feat in the 205th innings of his career which came in his 213th ODI outing for India. Sachin, who did this marvel in his 259th innings (266th match) now stands second on the list followed by former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly (263 innings), Ricky Ponting (266 innings) and Jacques Kallis (272 innings).
