The fans' wait to see ex-captain MS Dhoni in India colours has been further delayed as the selectors have decided to carry on with Rishabh Pant across formats.
Unlike the recently concluded Bangladesh T20Is, Sanju Samson has been omitted from the squad along with Shardul Thakur and Khaleel Ahmed.
Both the speedsters have been replaced by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami. Also, Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav returns to the T20I setup and so does skipper Virat Kohli who was given a break from the previous series.
At the same time, all-rounder Shivam Dubey has received maiden ODI call-up, following his bowling heroics in the final T20I against Bangladesh. he continues to remain a part of the team in the shortest format as well.
On the other hand, Deepak Chahar continues to be a part of the Indian pace battery after his 6 for 7, including a hat-trick, versus Bangladesh.
