Team India's front-line seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar who has been hit by a spree of injuries in the recent pass could once again miss out on the upcoming one day international series against West Indies, indicated a report in a leading daily.

The pacer who recently recovered from his four-month-long hamstring injury was part of the Indian's T20I squad for the T20I and ODI series against West Indies.

'Bhuvi' made a stellar comeback into the national team with a brilliant performance and helped the 'Men in Blue'  clinch a 2-1 T20I series win over the Windies on Wednesday.

However, according to the Mumbai Mirror reports, the 29-year-old picked up an injury during India's third T20I in Mumbai on December 11 and is set to miss the three-match ODI series against West Indies.

Bharat Arun, the bowling coach gave away nothing on the injury at the press interaction in Chennai (venue for the first ODI on December 15) on Friday, saying a media statement would be issued later after consultation with the team physiotherapist.

Back in 2018, Bhuvneshwar missed India's England tour through a back injury.

It is understood that the selectors, who are awaiting a final word from the Indian team's medical staff, are likely to name a replacement for Bhuvneshwar.
