The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) on Monday slashed the ticket prices for the India-Bangladesh Test to be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, with an aim to boost the spectators for the landmark game. The ticket prices have been reduced quite significantly, with the minimum price being as low as Rs 50.

India are scheduled to play Bangladesh in three T20s and two tests in November. The second Test will be held at the Eden Gardens between November 22-26.

The ongoing third Test in Ranchi between India and South Africa did witnessed pretty dismal spectators to the ground despite the match having a lot of bearing on the ICC Test Championship points. India lead the three-match series 2-0 and are on course to complete a whitewash.

At Eden Gardens, ticket prices were brought down from 200, 150, 100 to 150, 100 and 50, secretary Avishek Dalmiya said after the Apex Council meeting.

In the meeting, it was decided that two committees -- women's selection committee and specially abled -- will be formed to look after the respective divisions.

There are also plans to have two residential academies in Kalyani and Jadavpur with the latter having floodlights.
