Board For Cricket Control In India (BCCI) was planning for holding a camp for the players of the national team somewhere in July with the hope of getting the players assembled at a common place and kick-start their training for preparing them for the upcoming international engagements which are likely to happen in the later part of the year.
Several leading Indian cricketers like Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ishant Sharma have begun their outdoor training with a view to get themselves fit for the upcoming Asia Cup and India's series against Australia, slated to be held later in the year.
India’s limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma took to social media to write: “Good to be back on the park getting some work done felt like myself after a long time.”
In the interim, international cricket will get resumed after a COVID-19 induced break as Pakistan and West Indies take on England in Test series slated to be played in the United Kingdom .
A 31-member Pakistan contingent arrived in Manchester early on Monday to begin their preparations for the tour of England which comprises of 3-Tests and as many T20s.
Pakistan is looking at hosting the Asia Cup in either Sri Lanka or UAE from September-October, as well as staging the remaining matches of Pakistan Super League (PSL) in November. To avoid any clash, the BCCI has written to the PCB asking them to postpone PSL matches for next year.

The international cricketing calendar has taken a major hit with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving the ICC and national boards to postpone all major series and tournaments indefinitely till further notice.
The haze around the staging of the ICC World T20 and the Indian Premier League continues as the boards are accessing the ground situation and challenges posed the pandemic on a regular basis before taking a final decision.
