The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is likely to announce the new central contracts next month. While it was supposed to be done earlier, it got delayed owing to the Board's election. And now a fresh media report suggests that the BCCI has finalised the contracts but it will be made official only in the month of February.

The report carried by InsideSport suggests that the announcement got delayed also because of the appointment of the new selection committee.

The same article claims that while Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav are likely to be promoted, star batter Shikhar Dhawan will not find his name in the list of contracted players.

Earlier, ABP Live had reported that Ajinkya Rahane and Ishant Sharma- both of whom haven't been part of India's Test plans lately could be dropped from the BCCI Central Contracts. Along with Dhawan, other players who could lose their contract is Mayank Agarwal and Wriddhiman Saha.
