Shubman Gill Replaces Hardik Pandya As Vice-Captain Of Team India In T20I's
'The Prince of Indian Cricket' has returned to the T20I set-up of Indian Cricket Geam (ICT) and has announced his comeback in some style, as BCCI have named him the new vice-captain of the side in the format. The right-handed batsman was snubbed from the 15-man squad for the T20 World Cup 2024, which India ended up winning, as he was travelling amongst the 'Reserves'.
However, he has replaced the star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya for the role and with this, the message is pretty clear that Gautam Gambhir is sending the Indian team into a transition phase, under new faces and new leaders.
