India captain Rohit Sharma failed to register a significant score under his belt in India's first innings of the ongoing fourth Test against England in Ranchi. After England managed to score 353 batting first, they got rid of the Indian captain early with veteran James Anderson striking with the new ball for England. Anderson produced the outside edge as Rohit walked back for 2 off 9 balls with India losing their first wicket for just 4 runs on the board.

However as soon as Rohit walked back to the pavilion, Barmy Army fans were happy. They even seemed have created a little melody and started singing 'Bye Bye Rohit' as Rohit walked back to the pavilion. The video of the song has gone viral on social media. It was captioned, "Bye bye Rohit 👋."

India In Spot Of Bother In IND vs ENG 4th Test

As far as the cricketing action is concerned, India find themselves in a spot of bother at 131/4 at Tea on Day 2. While Rohit fell to Anderson, the remaining three wickets fell to Shoaib Bashir who has been the wrecker-in-chief for England so far, registering figures of 3/32. Shubman Gill, Rajat Patidar and Ravindra Jadeja all fell prey to Bashir who was spot on in the second session.

While Gill and Patidar were dismissed LBW, Bashir got one to bounce that extra bit to induce the error from Jadeja who hit one straight to the forward short leg. India still trail by 222 runs with 6 wickets in hand. The positive for India though is that in-form Yashasvi Jaiswal remains unbeaten and is accompanied by Sarfaraz Khan who also scored a fifty in each of his two innings of his debut Test in Rajkot.

India are 2-1 ahead in the five-match series.
