Bangladesh Vs Zimbabwe 3rd T20I: Bangladesh have defeated Zimbabwe by 9 runs in the third T20I to seal a series victory, as the hosts are now 3-0 up in the five-match T20I series. Unlike the first two matches, Zimbabwe showed grit and fight in today's encounter and it was once again their lower order, which proved to be pivotal in the dying stages of the match, which dragged the match to the last over. Bangladesh will now play out their remaining two fixtures, before travelling away to the United States of America to take them on in a three-match T20I series just before the T20 World Cup 2024.

Bangladesh Skipper Delighted With Side's Victory In 3rd T20I

Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto seemed pretty delighted with his side's emphatic victory and said the following during the Post-match Presentation Ceremony.

"Yes, obviously. Boys showed great character and the way Hridoy and Jaker batted was great to see. We need to execute our plans. We did not bowl well in the last 5 overs and need to improve on the performances of the team. There are areas to work on and hope to do well in the upcoming games," said the Bangladesh skipper.

"I tried to execute my plans and play according to the match situations. The wicket was a bit slow so I took my time and then accelerated as the game progressed. I told my partner as well its a different wicket so we played carefully and calculated our innings well," said Towhid Hridoy, who was awarded the Man of the Match award for his brilliant half century.
