Shakib Al Hasan 'Alleged' Murder Case: Legendary Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has landed in huge trouble trouble, after being named in a murder case in his home country. The 37-year old has been accused of being involved in the murder of Rubel Islam, as the complaint has been lodged by the victim's father - Rafiqul Islam.


Rubel Islam was reportedly murdered on August 5, and the case now invloves the likes of Shakib Al Hasan and former Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina. As reported by Bangladesh News 24, the complaint was lodged in the Adabor Police Station, and the confirmation of it came via Inspector Mohammad Nazrul Islam.


Shakib Al Hasan is currently playing for Bangaldesh in the ongoing Test series against Pakistan in Pakistan, as both the sides are involved in their all-important WTC 2023-25 cycle, as the World Test Championship Final now stands less than 12 months away. Australia and India are looking extremely strong to repeat the 2023 final, however, a mathematical qualification still eludes both the sides.

As reported by Bangladesh News 24, Shakib Al Hasan and Sheikh Hasina are not the only ones named in the murder case, as former Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hassan features in the list featuring 156 names.
