After shocking Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2022, Zimbabwe once again tried to do the same but ended up losing against Bangladesh in Brisbane by 3 runs.  The last over of the match was exhilarating and left all the fans scratching their heads. At first, Bangladesh were declared the winners but then the umpire gave a no-ball and Zimbabwe batters were called again to bat.

This match produced a lot of drama as 16 runs were required to win off the last over. Zimbabwe batters scored 11 runs from the first 4 balls, needing just 5 runs to be scored from the final 2.

Mosaddek Hossain, Bangladesh spinner got Richard Ngarava stumped on the penultimate ball of the game. It was Blessing Muzarabani who wanted to charge the ball but completely missed it and got stumped.

The twist in the tale was when umpires checked the replay and decoded that wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan grabbed the ball a fraction ahead of the stumps, the third umpire then gave Muzarabani not-out and called the delivery a no-ball. Zimbabwe got another chance to win the match but Muzarabani missed the ball again and Bangladesh finally won the game.
