The intense T20 World Cup 2024 encounter between Bangladesh and Nepal in what was match number 37 of the competition witnessed a controversial moment. In an act that has also been captured on camera, Bangladesh player Jaker Ali seemingly appeared looking at their dugout before helping his batting Tanzim Hasan Shakib take a late review. The incident happened in the 14th over of the Sri Lankan innings when Tanzim Hasan Sakib was adjudged out LBW off Sandeep Lamichhane.
The Nepal leg spinner's ball hit Lamichhane on the pads. There was a huge appeal and the umpire raised his finger to rule the batter out. However, as the batter was walking back towards the dressing room, non-striker Jaker Ali was caught on the camera seemingly asking the dressing room for help.
