India and Pakistan are all set to square off in the Super Fours stage of the Asia Cup 2023. While the Group-stage fixture between the two teams ended without a result after rain played a spoilsport at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy, the venue for their Super Four encounter is the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. However, rain could vey well affect this match as the weather forecast predicts the same.

Keeping in mind the possibility of rain interrupting the fixture, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has also kept a reserve day for this match. So while the India vs Pakistan match is scheduled on September 10 (Sunday), the following day which is September 11 (Monday) happens to be the reserve the day for this match.

Weather concerns aside, Pakistan captain Babar Azam has said that his team is ready to take on India and they are not feeling any kind of added pressure for the match against the arch-rivals. The Pakistan skipper also made a bold statement as he reckoned that Pakistan have an advantage over India as they have been playing in Sri Lankan conditions in the build up to this continental tournament.

"Given the continuous cricket we are playing both in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, you can say that we hold an edge (over India)," Babar said at a press conference ahead of the match.

"We have been playing here in Sri Lanka for the past two months or so. We have played Tests, we played a series against Afghanistan and then the LPL... So it can be said that we have an advantage," he added.

Meanwhile, Pakistan started off their Super Fours run with a win over Bangladesh in Lahore. Their next match is against India. The Men in Blue, meanwhile, will meet Pakistan in their first match of the Super Fours.
