Australian women's cricket team star all-rounder Jess Jonassen took to social media to announce her marriage to her 'best friend' and long-time partner Sarah Wearn. The couple had initially planned to get married in May 2020. After multiple delays in their wedding to Coronavirus outbreak, Jonassen and Wearn finally tied the knot on April 6 on Magic Island, Waikiki, O'ahu. "SURPRISE!! 3rd time lucky - finally married my best friend. April 6th will always have a special place in my heart," the pair wrote in a joint Twitter post.

Australian women's cricket team star Jess Jonassen is a left arm spinner and batsman. She has been a mainstay in the Australian team for more than a decade and was part of Australia's 2020 T20 World Cup and 2022 ODI World Cup winning teams.

Australia's Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) team Brisbane Heat and India's Women's Premier League (WPL) franchise Delhi Capitals (DC) congratulated the newly married couple on Twitter. For the unversed, Jess Jonassen represents Brisbane Heat in WBBL and Delhi Capitals (DC) in WPL.
The 30-year-old was also a part of the recently concluded inaugural Women's Premier League, where she played a key role in helping Delhi Capitals qualify for WPL 2023 final. However, Harmanpreet Kaur-led Mumbai Indians women's team defeated Delhi in the summit clash to win inaugural WPL final. Later in June this year, Jonassen will tour England to take part in the Women's Ashes. The one-off Test between Australia and England women's team will be played from June 22, while the T20I series will start from July 1. After this, a three-match ODI series will be played between the two teams from July 12.
