Australia Squad IND vs AUS 2nd Test: Cricket Australia has announced their squad for the second Test of India vs Australia Border-Gavaskar Test series, set to take place from December 6 to 10 in Adelaide. After suffering a heavy 295-run defeat in the series opener in Perth, Australian team will look to bounce back and level IND vs AUS Test series 1-1 in the Pink Ball Test in Adelaide.

There were expectations that the squad for the Adelaide Test would remain similar to the one announced for the first Test, but there was uncertainty about whether Marnus Labuschagne would be dropped after his low scores of 2 and 3 in the BGT series opener in Perth.

It has been over a year and a half since Marnus last scored a century. Despite this, Australian coach Andrew McDonald remains confident that Marnus will make a strong comeback.

"When we’ve seen him at his best he’s shown great intent at the crease. That’s an ongoing discussion and that ebbs and flows in players’ careers, so at the moment he’s in one of those patches and no doubt he’ll be getting critiqued externally. But internally we’re really confident that, at his best, he’s the player that we need. We’re really confident he can turn that around," McDonald said.

Coach Andrew McDonald plans on tinkering with Playing 11 for Adelaide Test but not with the squad.

"The same people in that change room are the same people that will be in Adelaide," McDonald said.

The second Test between India and Australia in Adelaide also marks return of veteran Rohit Sharma in Indian team.
