Defending champions Australia will be locking horns against Sri Lanka in Match 20 of the ongoing 2019 ICC World Cup at Kennington Oval in London .
Australia with three wins in their four games go in favourites against Sri Lanka, who have registered just a solitary win over Afghanistan in the tournament so far. Sri Lanka has been a touch unlucky so far with two of their games against Pakistan and Bangladesh being washed out due to rain.
TOSS UPDATE: Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bowl first against Australia at Oval. Skipper Karunaratne said the Lankan seamers will be looking to take advantage of the moisture. Pradeep and Siriwardene make their way back to the playing XI.
Karunaratne, SL captain: We have trained harder since it has been frustrating with all our games getting rained out. Training hard. That's all we can do.
Aussie skipper Finch said that he too would have opted to bowl if had won the toss. For Australia, Behrendorff will be replacing Nathan Coulter Nile, who is stiff and sore from the last game.
Aaron Finch, Australia captain: Still haven't managed to win a toss. I would have bowled first. A bit of cloud cover. Will swing around initially and we will have to bat well to see that phase through. We haven't done too well particularly with the bat. We have done well in patches in the tournament, but it hasn't come together for us. We need to be disciplined against the new ball.
Teams:
Australia (Playing XI): Aaron Finch(c), David Warner, Steven Smith, Usman Khawaja, Shaun Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Alex Carey(w), Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Kane Richardson, Jason Behrendorff
Sri Lanka (Playing XI): Dimuth Karunaratne(c), Kusal Perera(w), Lahiru Thirimanne, Kusal Mendis, Angelo Mathews, Dhananjaya de Silva, Thisara Perera, Isuru Udana, Milinda Siriwardana, Lasith Malinga, Nuwan Pradeep
