Cricket Australia confirmed on Wednesday that seam bowler Kane Richardson has withdrawn from the upcoming white-ball series against India to spend time with his newborn son.

Fast bowler Andrew Tye will replace Kane Richardson in Australia's ODI and T20I squads. India will commence the white-ball leg of their all-format tour against Australia with the first ODI in Sydney on November 27.

A regular member of the Australian white ball squad, Richardson has represented his nation in 25 ODIs and 21 T20Is since making his debut in 2013 and has taken 39 and 22 wickets in both the formats respectively.

“It was a difficult decision for Kane to make but one which has the complete support of the selectors and the entire playing squad. Kane wanted to remain in Adelaide with Nyki and their newborn son.
