AUS Vs ENG T20 World Cup Score Live Updates: Hello and welcome to ABP Live's coverage of Australia vs England Super 12 encounter in the ongoing T20 World Cup. Hosts take on long-time rival England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne in Match 26 of the T20 WC 2022. Both the teams placed in Group 1 of the Super 12 stage, which also includes New Zealand, Ireland, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.

Ahead of the encounter, Australia is placed in the 5th spot of the ICC T20 WC 2022 points table and England is a spot ahead in the 4th position. Both teams have played two matches, lost one and won the other and have two points each. It is just that England has a better Net Run Rate, which is why it is positioned a spot higher than the Kangaroos.

Before the start of the tournament, Group 1 had clear favourites. Australia were pitted to sail through, while England were tipped to advance easily given their recent T20 form. Now after a couple of games, both teams are uncertain about their progression from Group 1.

New Zealand's stomping victory over hosts on the opening night of Super 12 and Ireland's win over England have thrown Group 1 wide open.

The clash at the MCG on Friday, October 28, is pivotal as the winner will likely be the team that will advance ahead of the Super 12 stage while the loser's semifinal hopes will diminish further.
