AUS vs AFG Test Match: Cricket Australia on Friday took a difficult decision to postpone the November Test match against Afghanistan. There has been speculation for a long time about the first Test match between the two countries. Cricket Australia had hinted at postponing the match following the Taliban's decision to ban women from playing cricket in Afghanistan. In the meantime, Afghanistan had appealed several times not to do so.
Match was scheduled in Hobart for November 27
The Test match between Afghanistan and Australia was scheduled to be played on November 27. Deciding to cancel the match, Cricket Australia said, "CA is committed to supporting the growth of the game for women and men in Afghanistan and around the world, however, given the present uncertainty, CA felt it necessary to postpone the Test match until a later time when the situation is clearer.”

CA added that it is hopeful to host the game when the situation in Afghanistan becomes clearer. It added, "CA looks forward to hosting Afghanistan players in the BBL (Big Bash League) this season, who are great ambassadors for the game." Many cricketers from Afghanistan play from different teams in the Big Bash League. The biggest names to play in this league are Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi and Mujeeb Ur Rahman. Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman have garnered a lot of attention with their impressive performances.
