Pakistani leading speedster Usman Shinwari throttled the Hong Kong batting line up during his first appearance in the Asia Cup on Sunday. He was adjudged Player of the Match for his magical figures of 3/19 from 7.3 overs after which he has set his sights higher for the game against India.

The 24-year-old fast bowler is looking forward to owning a five-wicket haul in his next match which is against India on September 19.

"India is the No.1 team, they have excellent players. Definitely when Pakistan and India have a match, not just the players but also the crowd gets excited. It's a big game and hopefully, we've prepared well enough," he said.

"Players that do well in India-Pakistan games command a lot of respect. I want to perform well in the game. I got three wickets today, hopefully against India I can get five,” he added.

In the match against Hong Kong, Shinwari bowled well in his first spell; however, he was unable to pick up wickets. His luck took a sharp turn in his second spell with the reverse-swinging old ball and he ripped apart the opposition batsmen.

Pakistan will now gear up for the much-crucial game against India which will be played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai.
