Indian Legendary player Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun Tendulkar once again succeeded to make it to the headlines due to his lethal bowling performance on the field. Arjun, playing in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy for Mumbai U-19 team was in top form against Assam.
The 19-year-old, continuing with his impressive form in the on-going under-nineteen one-day domestic tournament took three wickets for 14 runs in seven overs.
Thanks to Arjuna's brilliant bowling, Mumbai won the match by 10 wickets.
As the game started, the left-arm fast bowler showed Danish Ahmed (1) way back to the pavilion. Mumbai’s bowling attack made it very difficult for Assam batsmen to play freely and score runs. Even in the second spell, Arjun once again bowled superbly, picking wickets of Rishikesh Baorah (1) and getting Rituraj Biswas out for a duck.
Apart from Arjun, while Divyaansh claimed 2/6, Atharva Poojari took 1/11. Aakash Vikram too bowled well picking up 1/20 adding up to Assam’s disastrous defeat. In front of such excellent bowling attack, the whole team of Assam fell for a 99-run all out.
As Arjun turns 20 next year, this year would mark as the final year for him in the Under-19 squad. With his impressive form, his inclusion in the team seems difficult to avoid.
