New Delhi: Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi set NatWest T20 blast on fire as he smashed 42-ball century to led Hampshire to crushing 101-run victory over Derbyshire in the first T20 blast quarters.



It took 256 appearances for the Karachi born talisman to reach three figures in a T20 match.



Promoted to open the innings, the legendary cricketer hit 7 sixes and 10 fours to reach his maiden T20 hundred.



The 37-year-old’s was the fastest hundred in this edition of the NatWest T20 blast after 45-ball century from Nottingham’s Alex Hales.



Afridi’s havoc took Hampshire to 249/8 in 20 overs, their highest in the tournament and 8th highest of all-time. The James Vince led side bundled Derby for mere 148 runs to register 101 runs victory.



Hampshire became to first team to secure a spot in the semi-finals of the NatWest T20 blast.
