Afghanistan's Tour Of Zimbabwe 2024: Afghanistan are set to travel to Zimbabwe for a month-long tour, as the T20 World Cup 2024 semi-finalists will playing three T20I's, three ODI's, and two Tests against the African nation.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board have announced their squad for the ODI's and T20I's, and the squad features a debutant in the form of Zubaid Akbari, who impressed in the nation's triumphant Emerging Asia T20 Cup 2024 campaign.
The squad will also see the return of mystery spinner and talisman, Mujeeb ur Rahman, who makes his return to the side after a lengthy lay-off period due to injury.
"Afghanistan have a strong history in Zimbabwe, and we look forward to another memorable tour. The selected players are ready for the challenge," said Naseeb Khan, ACB CEO.
"Mujeeb’s return is vital. Zubaid Akbari and Darwish Rasooli have earned their spots and we wish them success, said Ahmad Shah," Interim Chief Selector.
Afghaistan are scheduled to play two Test matches as well against the African nation, but the squad is still subject to announcement.
