Afghanistan's overjoyed cricketers celebrated their thrilling victory over Pakistan in the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 by dancing to the tunes of the popular Bollywood track 'Lungi Dance,' featuring the iconic actor Shah Rukh Khan.

In a result that surprised many, Afghanistan clinched their second win in the World Cup 2023, marking their very first triumph over former ODI World Champions Pakistans in the 50-over format. With a convincing all-round performance on the sluggish Chennai pitch, Afghanistan left their neighbours astounded with an emphatic eight-wicket victory.

Remarkably, the Afghan team chose to celebrate this historic win with a touch of Bollywood flair. A viral video circulating on the internet captures the Afghan players dancing in the team bus to Shah Rukh Khan's hit song 'Lungi Dance.' This chart-topping song is from the Bollywood film "Chennai Express," starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles.

The video, believed to be from the Afghanistan team bus, radiates the sheer joy on the faces of the Afghan cricketers after defeating their long-time rivals in ODIs – Pakistan. The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) also shared a clip that depicts the team's jubilant celebrations and dancing in the dining room.

Coming to the match between Afghanistan and Pakistan, the opening partnership of Rahmanullah Gurbaz (65) and Ibrahim Zadran (87), along with Rahmat Shah's unbeaten 77 at No.3 helped Afghanistan secure a memorable win.
