ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup 2024: The 15th edition of the ICC Men’s Cricket Under-19 World Cup is scheduled to commence on January 19 (Friday), 2024. South Africa secured the hosting rights for the tournament, replacing Sri Lanka, who were initially slated to host the tournament. The International Cricket Council (ICC) suspended Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 due to the country's political interference. This led to the emergence of South Africa to host the U-19 World Cup for the third time.

A total of 48 matches will be played among 16 teams throughout the 23-day-long tournament. India hold the most successful record in the tournament's history, clinching U-19 World Cup trophy for five times in the past. India, also the defending champions, are considered the strong favourites for the tournament. Their win in the U-19 World Cup 2022 in the West Indies saw them defeat England in the finals.

In the ICC U-19 World Cup 2024, the 16 participating teams are divided into groups of four. The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super 6 stage. Following this, two groups will emerge in the Super 6 round, each composed of six teams. Group 1 will comprise the top three teams from groups A and D, while Group 2 will include teams from groups B and C. The top two teams from each Super 6 group will progress to the semi-finals. Simultaneously, the lower-ranked teams will compete in placement games to determine positions 13 through 16.
