Johannesburg [South Africa], Nov 9 (ANI): Right-arm England bowler Stuart Broad sees Australian batsman David Warner as a threat on the field.
"He's someone that drives teams forward," Sports24 quoted Broad, as saying.
He added, "He's one of those blokes who is not that enjoyable to play against, but if he's in your team you love him."
Earlier, Warner, 31, compared the upcoming Ashes series to war, saying, "The history, the pride that is at stake. As soon as you step on that line it is war."
Praising Warner, Broad said that characters like him are present in every sport.
"I think someone like Warner you've got to try bowl a lot of balls at him with the new ball, because it's your best chance of getting him out," he told the Sydney Morning Herald on Thursday, the 31-year-old said, adding, "(But) you have to have a plan B, and with someone like Warner you have to go to plan B quicker than a lot of other batters."
While terming Warner a danger man, Broad also admitted that he enjoys playing against him and carries immense respect for the Australian player.
"The sort of guys who spur you on," Broad said.
