New Delhi: Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma has a special place in the heart of his fans and is one of the most loved cricketers in the country. Cricket fans go absolutely crazy to catch just a glimpse of India's all-format cricketer on and off the field. On the auspicious occasion of India's 75th independence Day, a similar sight was seen on Tuesday, 15th August. Rohit was supposed to leave the hotel to celebrate Independence Day, but even before he could come out, thousands of fans gathered outside his hotel on the streets to catch a glimpse of their favorite cricketer.
The security personnel had to take charge after the crowd outisde the hotel started to get uncontrollable. Rohit Sharma was asked by the security to move back inside the hotel. Fans can also be seen raising slogans in the viral video. The entire road outside the hotel was blocked due to the crowd. Rohit was visibly upset seeing the situation. The video is becoming quite viral on social media.
The Indian team is currently touring Zimbabwe for a three-match One-Day-International series, but Rohit is not a part of that team. The senior batter will now directly join the Indian team for the Asia Cup 2022. Team India will leave for the UAE on August 20 for the Asia Cup, where they will play their first match against arch-nemesis Pakistan on August 28.
