Seven golden goats were placed outside the Eiffel Tower following Lionel Messi's historic 7th Ballon d'Or win on Tuesday. Adidas revealed these seven golden goat statues in front of the Eiffel Tower, which will be traveling to various locations in Paris to celebrate the Argentine's achievement.

The seven goats signify the acronym 'G.O.A.T' which the football fans use to define Leo Messi. G.O.A.T is the short form of 'Greatest Of All Time'. A time of celebration has come for the people of Paris.

Messi finished with 613 points to top prolific Bayern Munich and Poland striker Robert Lewandowski on 580. Lionel Messi, in his Ballon d'Or acceptance speech said that the Bayern Munich player deserved to win the award in 2020. “I would like to mention Robert Lewandowski, it’s been a real honour to compete with you. Everyone knows and we agree that you were the winner last year. I think France Football should award you your 2020 Ballon d’Or – you deserve it and you should have it at home," said Messi.
