Los Angeles Lakers registered a 124-114 win over Miami Heat in Game 2 of the 2020 NBA Finals played on Saturday at Orlando, Florida. The Lakers are in the driver's seat with a 2-0 lead before heading into Game 3 of the 7-game NBA finals on Monday (October 5).

Anthony Davis and Lebron James once again combined well to score 65 points between them and power Lakers to a second straight win in the Best of 7-game finals.

Lebron James was at his shooting best, leading the scoring charts for the LA Lakers with 33 points, nine rebounds and nine assists. Meanwhile Anthony David was second to none with 32 points on 15-of-20 shooting with 14 rebounds. Rajon Rondo made a notable impact too, finishing with 16 points, 10 assists and four rebounds in 26 minutes.




In the absence of Goran Dragic and Bam Adebayo, Jimmy Butler once again happened to be the star performer for the Miami Heat, topping off an all-round performance with with 25 points and 13 assists.

Kelly Olynyk added 24 points and nine rebounds off the bench for Miami Heat. Rookie Tyler Herro scored 17 points as he was promoted to the starting line-up in place of Dragic,

LA Lakers took the early advantage in the Game 2 by closing out the opening quarter with a six point lead (29-23). The were dominant over the Heat in the second quarter, outscoring Heat 39-31.

Trailing La Lakers 68-54 at the half stage after the end of the second quarter, Miami stepped up their offense and outscored the Lakers 39-35 in the quarter. However, LA Lakers held onto a win in a low scoring fourth and decisive quarter as both the teams scored 21 points each.

Earlier on October 1, LA Lakers registered a thumping 116-98 win over Miami Heat in Game 1 of the 2020 NBA Finals played  at the Advent Health Arena in Orlando, Florida to take a 1-0 lead in the 7-game final series.

Anthony Davis led the scoring charts for the winning LA Lakers team with 34 points while LeBron James finished played his hand in the dominant win with 25 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists.
