Scientists Discover Most Massive Stellar Black Hole In Milky Way. It Is 33 Times The Sun’s Mass, Says Study
Astronomers identified the black hole through an odd 'wobbling' motion imposed on the companion star orbiting the black hole.
The European Space Agency's (ESA's) Gaia mission has identified the most massive stellar black hole yet discovered in the Milky Way galaxy. A stellar black hole is one which is formed from the collapse of a massive star. The newly identified black hole is 33 times the mass of the Sun.
