China’s Chang’e-6 Probe Lifts Off From Moon’s Far Side Carrying Lunar Samples. All About The First-Of-Its-Kind Feat

China's Chang'e-6 probe lifted off from the Moon's surface at 23:38 GMT on June 3 (5:08 am IST on June 4). On June 2 and 3, the probe collected samples.

China's Chang'e 6 probe, which landed on the lunar surface on June 2, 2024, at 3:53 am IST, took off from the far side of the Moon on June 4, carrying lunar rocks. The probe, which comprises an orbiter, a lander, an ascender, and a returner, has begun its journey back to Earth. This is an important milestone because it marks the first time samples from the far side of the Moon will be brought back to Earth.  The Chang'e-6 probe lifted off from the Moon's surface at 23:38 GMT on June 3
