Explained: What Is GSAT-N2? India's First Satellite To Be Launched Atop A SpaceX Rocket
GSAT-N2 is a demand-driven satellite, and will operate in the Ka-band, whose frequencies range from 26.5 Gigahertz to 40 Gigahertz. The satellite has been developed by ISRO.
India is set to launch a satellite atop SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket, a first for the Indian space sector. The satellite, called GSAT-N2 (formerly GSAT-20), will be launched in the second quarter of 2024. NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), the commercial arm of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) owns the communications satellite, and will operate it once it is commissioned. The satellite has been developed by ISRO.
