On the day of Mauni Amavasya, if you are going for a bath, the Brahma Muhurat from 5:25 AM to 6:18 AM is considered very auspicious for bathing. After that, you can perform charity and good deeds. Taking a bath and giving donations on this day is believed to lead to liberation, moksha.
