On Saubhagya Panchami, after an early morning bath, one should offer water to the Sun. Following this, during the auspicious time, worship idols of Lord Shiva, Hanuman, and Ganesha. If possible, wrap a betel nut with a sacred thread (mouli) and place it on an eight-petaled rice arrangement as a representation of Lord Ganesha. Use sandalwood, vermilion, rice, flowers, and durva grass for Ganesha’s worship. Then, offer ashes, bilva leaves, dhatura, and a white cloth to Lord Shiva. Offer modak to Ganesha and other white delicacies to Lord Shiva.
