When Can You Begin Observing The Tuesday Fast?
Tuesday is deemed ideal for worshiping Sankatmochan Hanuman. Devotees can begin the Tuesday fast (Mangalwar Vrat) on any Tuesday falling during the Shukla Paksha (waxing phase of the moon) in any month. The fast can be observed for 21 to 45 consecutive Tuesdays, followed by a formal conclusion known as Udyapan.
Rules For Lord Hanuman Puja And Tuesday Fast:
- Maintain purity and cleanliness throughout the day while observing the fast.
- Refrain from consuming salt during the fast. Smoking and other harmful habits should also be avoided. The fast can be observed with fruit-based meals.
