Ekadashi Vrat Rules



  • On Ekadashi, offer Panchamrit, yellow flowers, banana, seasonal fruits, sweets, and tulsi to Lord Vishnu.

  • The Ekadashi fast is observed for 24 hours, and no food is consumed during this time.

  • Avoid consuming anything made from rice on Ekadashi.

  • The day before Ekadashi, consume only sattvic food and stay away from tamasic foods.

  • Read the Ekadashi vrat story and chant the mantra "Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya."

  • The Ekadashi fast is broken the next day on the Dwadashi tithi.
