At the end of the event, Miss Universe India 2017, Shraddha Shashidhar will crown her successor. The winner will represent India at the 67th Miss Universe 2018 pageant to be held in Bangkok, Thailand on 16th December 2018.

Lara, who was the second Indian after Sushmita Sen to win the Miss Universe crown, had said early this month that India has been waiting far too long to bring the title back home. It has been 18 years since we have won the crown, now I want to pass on that crown to my successor. I was Miss Universe 2000, and since then, every year thousands of girls are undergoing a lot of pressure, hard work and training just to bring the title back. People should understand them and lend support to them, said the 40-year-old actress, who has been a part of the glamour world for almost two decades.

Former Miss Universe 2000, model-turned-actress Lara Dutta Bhupathi also graced the occasion and she has been also mentoring the girls at Miss Diva.

The beauty pageant is being judged by Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Malaika Arora, Neha Dhupia and Sushant Singh Rajput. The stars arrived in style scorching the Red Carpet and Mrs Kundra quite literally doing it as she slays in a red dress at the event.
