Sonam Kapoor who plays an important role in upcoming film 'PadMan' is busy promoting the film these days.
PadMan is inspired by the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, a small town entrepreneur from Tamil Nadu who invented low-cost sanitary napkins to generate awareness in the rural area.

And on Sunday(January 21, 2018) the pretty actress turned a PadWoman and was snapped distributing sanitary pads to school girls
Sonam is hopeful that PadMan will create more awareness on using sanitary napkins especially in rural areas.
Sonam highlighted that PadMan is a story of an extraordinary man, who tried to make the condition better for women because he really loved his wife
She stated, I was 15 when I got my periods and all my friends had got that way before me. I was very upset that I had not got it. So when I actually got it I was very relieved because I kept telling my parents there is something wrong with me as I did not get my periods. So, I was very very happy.
During a media interaction earlier, Sonam was asked about the time when she got periods for the first time.
Starring Akshay Kumar in a the titular role, 'Pad Man' movie promotions are going on in full swings and as a part of it actress Sonam Kapoor was snapped distributing sanitary pads to school girls on Sunday.
Directed by R. Balki,PadMan will hit the silver screen on February 9, 2018.
