View In AppWe expect a launch by end of this year for the eXUV300 and it will be priced to compete with the Tata Nexon EV.
The interior will have changes over the standard XUV with a bigger screen and different gear selector and a more premium look.
It will have fast charging and other features which the petrol/diesel XUV will not have.
We expect this to have a healthy amount of range with around 300km expect and that means that it competes with other EVs quite well here.
The all electric XUV300 looks much more radical from the current version and makes it look different.
Mahindra will also provide battery warranty and car warranty to cover peace of mind regarding the eKUV buyers.
In terms of charging there is a 150km range which means it is good enough for city commutes and a lot more than the eVerito which is the current EV from Mahindra. But Mahindra also provides fast charging with 55 minutes to 80 percent charge and that will cover time to make the necessary journeys.
The eKUV gets a 15.9kWh electric motor which makes 55 bhp and 120Nm- decent for city use. It makes power comparable to a normal petrol hatchback.
The eKUV has been launched at Rs 8.2 lakh which makes this very affordable under the new FAME scheme where the Government gives benefits.
