If you need to pin a chat then first you will have to open WhatsApp and click on the 'Chats' section which will be on the bottom of your screen. (Image Source: Getty)

Then locate the chat that you want to pin, then long-press on it and select the 'Pin Chat' option. After that, the desired chat will appear at the top of your chat list. (Image Source: Getty)
