On the occasion of Kannum Pongal, bull race or rekla race was held across Tamil Nadu on Tuesday

In Thoothukudi's Sekarakudi, 59 bulls took part in the race

Mostly, the races took place without any untoward incidents

However, three persons suffered injuries after a bull collided with a bullock cart Thirukadaiyur of Mayiladuthurai

Earlier, rekla races were banned for a period and later the ban was lifted in places including Coimbatore
