Around 1,000 bulls and 350 bull tamers are taking part in the event

Thousands of spectators also came to watch the event

A day after the death of a spectator of Jallikattu, stands were readied for spectators in Alanganallur

The tamers who emerge successful will be given car and other gifts

The tamer who excels in all the events and emerge as a overall player will also be provided with gold rings embedded with the face of Udhayanidhi Stalin and MK Stalin

Several Jallikattu events are being held across Tamil Nadu during the period from January 15 to 18 on the occasion of four-day Pongal festivities
