Umran Malik, one of the great finds for the Indian cricket team, has the ability to trouble batters by consistently bowling at speeds of over 150 km/h. Despite bowling with such sheer pace, the 23-year-old has been good with his line and length and the upcoming India vs New Zealand series serve as a great opportunity for Umran to cement his spot in India's 2023 ODI World Cup squad.

In Jasprit Bumrah's absence, the rise of Mohammed Siraj as a leading seamer has been remarkably swift. The 28-year-old pacer has been providing early breakthroughs for India with the white ball and most importantly his spells are quite economical as well. India vs New Zealand series is another chance for Siraj to prove himself ahead of 2023 ODI World Cup in India.

The Indian batters will definitely find it tough to tackle Kiwi pacer Lockie Ferguson's bowling, even on Indian pitches. The star pacer is someone who can consistently bowl 150kmph with the white ball. Even though his sheer pace gives batters an opportunity to just time the ball, hit in right areas with little effort for some easy runs, there's no doubt that Ferguson is one of the best wicket-taking bowlers in the New Zealand squad.

Veteran pacer Tim Southee is New Zealand's perfect weapon against India's world-class batting lineup. Tim Southee recently surpassed legendary Kiwi all-rounder Daniel Vettori (696 international wickets) to become the leading wicket-taker in international cricket for New Zealand.

Team India's young leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav's clinical spell 3/51 in India vs Sri Lanka 2nd ODI helped the Blues take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. In whatever limited chances Yadav gets, he somehow manages to strike gold for the national team and IND vs NZ series might help him take some more wickets, regain his confidence.
