Two Indian cricketers get married on same day

The Indian team, which is currently in Mohali for the fourth ODI against Australia, visited Kaul's home to be a part of celebrations and bless the couple. Captain Virat Kohli along with the team members and support staff was present on the occasion.

Six years after making his debut, he was recalled to the Test team in 2017 during the series against Australia but failed to justify his selection. After the failures in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, he was fortunately retained for the Sri Lanka series.

The other Indian cricketer to get married on the same day with Mukund was medium pacer Siddarth Kaul. Kaul pledged troth with Harsimran Kaur on Friday.

Kaul was a part of the Indian squad for the first two ODIs against Australia as the selectors had decided to rest Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

However, with Kumar returning to the squad for the final three ODIs of the series, Kaul was dropped from the squad.

Two current Indian cricketers tied the knot with their respective partners in the past week on the same day.

Tamil Nadu opener Abhinav Mukund got hitched on Wednesday in a private ceremony.

Mukund married Arabhi Badri and the made the announcement on Twitter. “Introducing to the world Mrs.Aarabhi Badri, my wife as I can say as of today. On this happy occasion, I would like to thank my family and friends for making this day exceptional, one that,” Mukund said.

Indian wicket-keeper batsman and Mukund’s long-time friend Dinesh Karthik attended the wedding ceremony. He was accompanied by his wife and Indian squash player Dipika Pallikal.

He made his Test debut way back in 2011 against England, has featured in seven Tests for India.
