Raina, who played his last ODI for India in 2015, will hope to make best of the opportunity in an attempt to comeback in the national side.
Kanpur and Lucknow will host Duleep Trophy and like previous year, it will be a pink ball affair.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced squad for India Blue, India Red and India Green. The tournament will feature 45 cricketers.
Sidelined left hand batsman Suresh Raina has been named as the captain of India Blue.
After initially failing to find its place in BCCI’s domestic calendar in 2017, Duleep Trophy is finally back.
The tournament will be held from September 07, and the final will be played on September 25.
Duleep Trophy has been an integral part of Indian cricket from past 56 years.
