Sri Lanka drop Chandimal from ODI squad; Gunathilaka returns

Chandimal has been going through a bad patch in the coloured outfit.
The 28-year-old has just managed to score 255 runs in 15 innings this year.
While, the selection committee has decided to call Danushka Gunathilaka, Asela Gunaratne and Kusal Perera in the 15-member squad, according to reports in the Sunday Times
Thisara Perera has been appointed as skipper in the shorter formats of the game.
But, he is the highest run-getter for Sri Lanka in the Test series against India, having scored three consecutive fifties.
Test skipper Dinesh Chandimal has been dropped from the squad for the three-match ODI series.
After disastrous performances against India in the opening two Test matches, the Sri Lankan Cricket Board has decided to axe their key player from the 50-over format series against India.
