View In AppOn the 18th anniversary of Anil Kumbles’ 10 wicket-haul against Pakistan Sehwag shared a photo which narrated a story about Waqar Younis’s plan to stop Kumble from reaching the rare milestone. Akram had revealed that Waqar was actually planning to get runout in order to stop Kumble’s 10-wicket haul.
This fueled a war of words between the two new ball bowlers from Pakistan.
Waqar Younis denied the allegations and stated that age is catching up with the former Pakistan captain Wasim and hence he’s making such remarks.
Wasim was not the one to let it go that easily. Taking a dig at his one-time bowling partner, Wasim tweeted that he would beat Waqar any day and Waqar should get his facts right. Both later on went on to delete their Tweets.
