Pandey gets into record books as India A defeat South Africa A

The 27-year-old made his name into the record books by becoming the second highest run scorer for India in list-A cricket.

Chasing 267 at the LC de Villiers Oval in Pretoria, the India-A innings was one full of hiccups but the captain made sure that he took his side right to the end of the finish line scoring an unbeaten 93 off 85 balls, accompanied by Sanju Samson(68) and Krunal Pandya(25).

With this win, India have almost guaranteed themselves a place in the finals against the Proteas.

India’s veteran batsman Gautam Gambhir sits at the top of list A run scorers in India, with 1187 runs.

The Nainital born batsman has now scored 1064 runs, playing for India-A.

He overtook Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan, who has scored 1004 runs playing for list A side.

India A defeated South Africa A in a thrilling last over finish, marking their 3rd consecutive victory in the ongoing tri-series, thanks to the in-form skipper, Manish Pandey.
