Rachin Ravindra Claims ICC Men's Emerging Cricketer Of Year Award For 2023
New Zealand's emerging talent, Rachin Ravindra, has been honored with the ICC Men's Emerging Cricketer of the Year award for 2023.
Indian-origin Rachin Ravindra is the first New Zealand cricketer to receive this prestigious accolade, triumphing over tough competition from India's Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Making his ODI debut just last year, Rachin Ravindra showcased his prowess as one of the standout performers at the 2023 World Cup in India.
Batting at No.3, the 24-year-old left a lasting impact by finishing as the fourth-leading run-scorer, amassing an impressive total of 578 runs at an average of 64.22.
Rachin's remarkable performance in the Cricket World Cup tournament included three centuries and two half-centuries.
Ravindra's achievements in the 2023 World Cup saw him equal Kiwi veteran Kane Williamson's record from 2019 for the most runs by a Kiwi batter in an ODI World Cup.
Additionally, Rachin Ravindra claimed the title of the highest run-scorer in a debut World Cup, solidifying his status as a rising star in international cricket.
